Abstract

POS (Point of Sales) is a highly complex system that requires a structured development model to facilitate code integration and class division based on their functions. This research was conducted at JoelCamera Bandung, a retail store that buys and sells various brands of digital cameras and accessories such as lenses and flash adapters. Currently, the store uses the Accurate system for recording transactions and inventory calculations. However, this system does not yet support trade-in features for cameras and other accessories, resulting in suboptimal business processes. This study aims to develop a web-based Point of Sales application using the Laravel framework with the Model View Controller (MVC) approach. The main goal of this application is to improve the efficiency of sales and purchase transactions, as well as to manage inventory more accurately. Additionally, the application is expected to provide full access to the store owner for internal control, including management of transaction reports, inventory, financial reports (cash in/out), and trade-in processes. With an integrated and web-based system, business operations at JoelCamera Bandung can run more effectively and efficiently.
