KATA MAJEMUK PADA BERITA BERBAHASA INGGRIS TENTANG DUGAAN TERORISME DI MABES POLRI

Abstract


AbstractThis research deals with the forms of compound words found in the news texts and comments related to suspected terrorism reports that occured at the Indonesian National Police Headquarters. This is a descriptive qualitative research. The object of this study is English compound words. There are several procedures in collecting data such as reading the news and comments, selecting compound words to get the important information, and concluding the result of this study. The results of this research are 10 compound words found in five people’s comments and 10 lines of three texts of the news. There are two kinds of compound words which are separated into endocentric and exocentric compound; Attributive Compound consists of six (6) data of endocentric compound words and one (1) data of exocentric compound words also Subordinative Compound that only consists of three (3) data of  exocentric compound words.Keywords: Compound words, News text, Comments, Terrorism, Mabes PolriAbstrakPenelitian ini berkaitan dengan analisis tipe kata majemuk yang ditemukan pada teks berita dan juga komentar warganet terkait pemberitaan dugaan terorisme yang terjadi di Markas Besar Kepolisian Republik Indonesia di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah kata majemuk Bahasa Inggris. Sedangkan, dalam menganalisis tipe kata majemuk, peneliti terlebih dahulu membaca berita dan komentar. Kemudian, memilih data sebagai informasi penting yang mendukung penelitian. Selanjutnya mendeskripsikan data tersebut dan menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan data yang telah dianalisis. Hasilnya terdapat 10 kata majemuk yang ditemukan di lima komentar twitter dan 10 baris dalam tiga teks berita. Terdapat dua tipe kata majemuk yang masing-masing dipisahkan lagi menjadi tipe kata majemuk endosentris dan eksosentris; Kata Majemuk Atributif yang berisi enam (6) data kata majemuk endosentris dan satu (1) data kata majemuk tipe eksosentris serta Kata Majemuk Subordinatif yang hanya berisi tiga (3) data kata majemuk eksosentris.Kata-kata Kunci: Kata majemuk, Teks berita, Komentar, Terorisme, Mabes Polri
