Author Guidelines
Authors submitting manuscripts to THE GIST: Jurnal Sastra dan Bahasa must follow the guidelines below to ensure their work is considered for publication.
General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere.
- Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English. A bilingual abstract (Indonesian and English) is required.
- The manuscript should be typed on A4 paper with 2.5 cm margins on all sides, using Times New Roman font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
- Word count: 4,000–8,000 words (excluding references).
- All references must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style.
- Use Mendeley or Zotero for reference management.
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system at journal2.unfari.ac.id.
Manuscript Structure
- Title – Concise and informative, maximum 15 words.
- Author(s) and Affiliation – Full name(s), institutional affiliation, and corresponding author email.
- Abstract – Maximum 250 words in both Indonesian and English; includes background, objective, method, results, and conclusion.
- Keywords – 3 to 6 keywords.
- Introduction – Background, problem statement, and research objective.
- Methods – Research approach, data collection, and analytical framework.
- Results and Discussion – Linguistic or literary analysis presented clearly.
- Conclusion – Summary of findings and their contribution to the field.
- Acknowledgement – (if applicable).
- References – Minimum 15 references; at least 80% from primary sources (journals) published within the last 10 years.
