Abstrak

Ekstrak daun Binahong (Anredera cordifolia) (Ten.) steen) dan ekstrak bawang Putih (Allium sativum) merupakan tanaman herbal yang secara empiris telah teruji sebagai anti inflamasi. Tujuan penelitian untuk menentukan aktivitas anti inflamasi dari kombinasi ekstrak daun Binahong dan ekstrak bawang Putih terhadap tikus putih galur Wistar. Metode penelitian adalah Paw Edema. Sebanyak 30 ekor tikus Jantan Galur Wistar Pengujian aktivitas anti inflamasi pada dosis kombinasi 1:1, 2:1 dan 1:2 ekstrak daun binahong dan ekstrak bawang putih dengan fenilbutazon sebagai kontrol positif dan dosis tunggal yaitu ekstrak daun Binahong 25 mg/kg dan ekstrak bawang Putih 100 mg/kg BB sebagai pembanding pada tikus inflamasi yang diinduksi dengan karagenin, kemudian data dianalisis dengan metode Anava. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ekstrak daun binahong dan ekstrak bawang putih memberikan efek anti inflamasi yang lebih baik. Presentase inhibisi radang secara berurutan yaitu 42,70%, 41,99% dan 44,31%.
