Abstract

ABSTRAKDaun bayam merah (Amaranthus Tricolor L) merupakan tanaman yang mengandung antosianin, pewarna alami, dan antioksidan. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun bayam merah memiliki potensi antioksidan yang kuat, dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 28,93 ppm (Reny et al. 2016). Menunjukkan daun bayam merah dapat digunakan sebagai zat aktif dalam formulasi lip cream karena dapat melindungi bibir dari kerusakan radikal bebas. Dalam formulasi lip cream pemilihan konsentrasi basis yang tepat menjadi penentu utama kualitas sebelum produk dipasarkan. Carnauba wax sebagai bahan utama lip cream yang dikenal memiliki sifat pengikat yang baik, membantu menciptakan tekstur yang homogen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan basis carnauba wax (10%, 15% dan 20%). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh variasi konsentrasi basis carnauba wax terhadap warna, mengetahui stabilitas fisik sediaan lip cream dengan variasi konsentrasi basis carnauba wax yang sesuai, agar mendapatkan produk yang berkualitas (sesuai standart farmasi). Metode pembuatan ekstrak dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 70 % dengan nilai rendemen ekstraknya sebesar 32,8%. Hasil rendemen tersebut telah memenuhi standar ekstrak yang telah ditetapkan yaitu tidak kurang dari 9,8% (Depkes RI,2017). Hasil analisis fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun bayam merah mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, dan tanin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, formulasi lip cream dengan konsentrasi carnauba wax 10% dan 15% memenuhi standar evaluasi dalam stabilitas fisik, tekstur, warna, aroma, homogenitas, daya oles, daya sebar yang baik berkisar 4,8-6,6 cm, serta pH berkisar antara 5-6, sesuai dengan rentang pH pada bibir, dan tidak menyebabkan iritasi. Pada uji hedonic (kesukaan) formula 1 lebih banyak disukai oleh panelis dengan nilai rata-rata 8. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan konsentrasi carnauba wax dalam formulasi lip cream dapat mempengaruhi tekstur sediaan, di mana semakin tinggi konsentrasi yang digunakan, semakin padat tekstur lip cream yang dihasilkan.Kata Kunci : Lip cream; Carnauba wax;  Daun bayam merah; Amarantus tricolor.
