Abstract

method. The main source of this research is an online website MelbourneAsia entitled
“Indonesia is exploiting the Covid-19 crisis for illiberal purposes”. The analysis of the data is
following by few steps. First, the researcher read about the journal entitled “Indonesia is
exploiting the Covid-19 crisis for illiberal purposes”. Next step, the research breakdown the
journal and sorting the utterance which indicated as deixis. The las step, the researcher draws
a conclusion about the journal. The conclusion of the usage of deixis of journal entitled
